Frequently asked questions

How does the Equi Aqua System work?

The Equi Aqua System provides your horse with continuous access to clean and controlled drinking water. Simply fill the system, connect the hose and the drinking bowl automatically maintains the water level. The closed design helps reduce contamination from dirt and bedding while giving riders more consistency during daily stable use and competitions.

Why is monitoring water intake important for horses?

Monitoring water intake gives riders valuable insight into hydration, recovery and overall horse wellbeing. Changes in drinking behaviour are often one of the first signs that a horse may not feel completely normal. The transparent water level indicator allows you to notice these changes early and respond before dehydration or performance issues become a bigger concern.

Can I see how much my horse actually drinks?

Yes. The transparent water level indicator makes it easy to monitor daily water intake throughout the day. This gives riders and grooms more control and reduces unnecessary guessing around hydration management.

Why not just use buckets during competitions?

Traditional buckets often become dirty quickly, get knocked over or provide no clear insight into how much a horse drinks. Equi Aqua was designed to create a cleaner, more stable and more professional hydration solution for temporary stables and international competition environments.

How much water does the Equi Aqua System hold?

The system has a 50-liter capacity, which means in many situations it only needs to be refilled once per day depending on temperature, workload and the individual horse.

Is the Equi Aqua System easy to transport?

Yes. The system was designed with transport and competition use in mind. An optional protective Carry Bag is available for organized and safe transport between stables and events.

Can Equi Aqua help reduce unnecessary electrolyte use?

Yes. Many riders automatically use electrolytes or supplements without knowing if their horse truly needs additional support. By clearly monitoring water intake first, riders can make better-informed decisions and react earlier when hydration actually becomes a concern.

Is the Equi Aqua System suitable for international competitions?

Yes. The system was specifically developed for riders who travel frequently and compete in temporary stable environments. It is designed to be reliable, easy to transport and practical for everyday competition use.

Is the system hygienic compared to traditional buckets?

The closed water system helps protect water from dirt, bedding and outside contamination much better than open buckets. This supports cleaner water management and more consistent daily hygiene.

Do horses accept the system easily?

Most horses quickly recognize the drinking bowl as a familiar water source. Many riders also experience that horses become calmer and drink more consistently compared to unfamiliar buckets during travel or competitions.

Who is the Equi Aqua System designed for?

Equi Aqua is designed for riders, grooms and stable teams who value horse welfare, consistency, hygiene and professional hydration management during daily use and competition travel.

Do horses bite or play with the hose?

Most horses quickly accept the system as part of their normal stable routine and show little interest in the hose after introduction. The hose is designed for stable daily use and competition environments. In many cases, horses are actually calmer because they have more continuous and familiar access to water compared to changing buckets during travel or competitions.

Equi Aqua

'As a driver, Equi Aqua gives me peace of mind. I know my horses always have enough clean water, even at night which is when they often run out at competitions. It also makes things easier for my grooms, and that matters to me. When they have less to worry about, they can focus better on the horses. It’s a great idea, and so far it’s worked perfectly.'

Equi Aqua

'I’ve been using Equi Aqua at competitions for a short time now, and I honestly don’t want to do without it anymore. You don’t have to carry buckets all the time, and you’re sure your horse always has clean water. Hanging it up was super easy, and everything stays neat. Especially at multi-day shows, it really saves a lot of time and hassle. I just find it super handy, and it looks neat too.'
